I think I’m allergic to Nair Hair Remover Lotion
I think I’m allergic to Nair Hair Remover Lotion
I’ve always had Nair hair removal lotion in the home. I don’t know why, for some reason I remain confident that it had better work. It seems like the most easygoing solution, and the fastest too. Besides trying to pull or cut the hair off, you simply melt it away with acid. Sounds fair to me!
Regrettably every time I get close to to trying Nair hair removal lotion again, I am reminded why I do not use it. The one I happened to try today was the Nair Hair Remover Lotion with Aloe Vera. This had better be double good, right? Not only does it melt away your hairs, but it comforts your skin afterwards.
Believe me, I follow all the book of instructions very carefully. First I soak in warm water for at least 1/2 hour to soften up the hairs. Then I shake the Nair hair removal lotion well and apply it on the legs thickly without rubbing it in. The hair is definitely coated. Then I wait 15 minutes (the longest allowable time) before attempting to wipe it off. Nothing happens. Maybe a couple of hairs are removed, but the vast majority persist.
Not only that, but anyone who tells you that this “acid” can tell the divergence between your constituent hair and your organic skin is lying. It hurts to have this cream sitting on your entire legs for 15 minutes. I think of it as ‘beauty torture’. When I’m done, not only do I still have my leg hair left, but I now have red bumps where the acid got into pores and caused irritation. I wouldn’t mind the temporary irritation (gone the next day) if the hair in reality vanished too. But noooooooooooooooooo.
I did actually take pictures of my legs after the nairing to show how unaffected (and still hairy) they were. I’ll try to load those up on my internet site. But unless you’ve really fine baby hair (and if you do, why are you obsessing about removing them?) then Nair hair removal lotion actually does not seem to work well.
I would think that searing pain was an essential for hair removal lotion, but I accept I tried other lotions that have NO pain associated with them, so I’m not quite sure what Nair hair removal lotionis doing here. I think I must just have an allergy to something in the hair removal lotion. Which is why it is a good job that I read the instructions on the hair removal lotion and tried it on a small sample of skin first and left it for 24 hours
